The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) is a world-wide professional association for practitioners dealing with family inheritance and succession planning. STEP members are subject to a Code of Professional Conduct to act with integrity and in a manner that inspires confidence, respect and trust of their clients and of the wider community and are widely recognised as specialist professionals in the trust and estates industries.
Being a member of STEP is more than just an annual membership; it is a community of like-minded, skilled and passionate trust and estate professionals who are devoted to learning, practising and contributing to the development of the best practice of law in this field.
STEP members are qualified as members only by years of experience and extensive training in their field.
In support of my desire to contribute to the education of my colleagues, I am also a proud practitioner member of the STEP Academic Community.
I am also a member of a number of STEP Special Interest Groups (SIGs) that allows me to keep up to date with the latest developments across the world in these areas of practice, including:
- Business Families
- Contentious Trusts and Estates
- Cross-Border Estates
- Digital Assets
- International Client
- Mental Capacity
- Philanthropy Advisors.
