Here’s a few things I get up to in my spare time…
As an Australian Succession Lawyer and true nerd, I decided I wanted to find more succession nerds to share in my nerdiness. I was looking for an online forum of interesting succession and elder law topics and discussion. I was also looking for something across all jurisdictions. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t find exactly what I was looking for. So, I created it.
Australian Succession & Elder Lawyers LinkedIn Group was born.
The group has been welcomed into the succession and elder law community wholeheartedly and is now one of the most essential resources available to the succession and elder law community.
The ASEL community has attracted some of the most highly respected succession lawyers across the country. We regularly see interesting, thought provoking and cutting-edge discussion on a wide range of succession and elder law topics. Exactly what you need for such a rapidly developing area.
The ASEL community boasts an extended range of community members; principals, associates, lawyers, barristers, lecturers, students and paralegals. We don’t discriminate; if you live and breathe succession and elder law, we want you. It’s that simple.
The success of ASEL is an example of how valuable online presence, profile and resourcing is to a practitioner. It has lead me to opportunities to help educate other practitioners (and non-practitioners, for that matter) about the importance of online resources, blogging, marketing and engagement. Education is fundamental to our success and there are an insurmountable number of resources available to anyone with data or wifi.
Get online. Get involved. Read, contribute, learn, share. You won’t be disappointed.
